    Frenchaire Gardner

Frenchaire Gardner is a mother of four. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 2002, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

Her friendly disposition was a good match for sales and customer service and she served as an insurance agent for families and businesses throughout Missouri, Illinois and Texas. As director of public relations and marketing for The English Schoolhouse books by Dr. Tamara Pizzoli, she created relationships that skyrocketed the books to international acclaim. Some of the achievements she’s most proud of include archival of books in Harlem’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture; features in AfroPunk, Blavity, MaterMea and Modern Ghana; and books sold across the diaspora.

Her passion led to starting Be and Us LLC – a business that promotes her work and the work of other Black business owners. She enjoys creating and speaking on podcasts and radio shows, and hosts a global podcast called A News You Can Use Podcast where Black business owners share their businesses and insights into being a successful boss.

And she self-published a children’s book in 2019 entitled Mommy and Daddy Do You Still Love Me Anymore? as an ebook. In the summer of 2021, she released the 2nd Edition paperback and ebook. The book is to remind her children that despite their separation that they are still loved. It’s a message that all foster and adopted children and adults can identify with. In spring 2022 the book won honorable mention at The Book Fest.

She also collaborated on four additional books, as a co-author:

In addition to writing, Frenchaire enjoys painting abstract images with acrylics, and has designed merchandise such as notebooks, shower curtains, T-shirts, phone cases, and buttons. One of her paintings, “First Bloom” was selected for London’s No Name Gallery April 2021 Issue.

Her love for art and writing are not just part of her business ventures, they began as tools to help heal from trauma and pain.

She was molested by her father; survived domestic violence in relationships; experienced homelessness; and lives with bipolar depression. But without question, the toughest trauma she endures is the separation from her children.

Despite such pains, Frenchaire remains true to her nature, full of joy with a desire to nurture people. She wants to see folks excel, especially Black business owners.
